Spring Garden Day Service

Spring Garden was established in 1987 as a community

based activation day service. It has since grown to

provide day places for 35 adults with Intellectual

Disabilities. The support needs of service users range

from high to low support.

The delivery of a Person Centred Service, which

promotes independence and facilitates people to live full

and rewarding lives, is central to the care delivered in

Spring Garden.

The day service is staffed by a CNMII, a Staff Nurse, and

four programme Assistants. All staff have a nursing or

Social Care qualification. The team also has four

appointees from the Fas Community Employment

Scheme (transport, kitchen, maintenance, cleaning).

Employees are supported by WIDA to continue their

professional and personal development ensuring the

ongoing enhancement of service development.
