Spring Garden Day Service is a community based activation service for adults with an intellectual disability. The age range is from 18 years old until retirement.

Service users are supported to access activities of their choice in the local community. These include literacy, swimming, zumba, P.E., drama and fun drums. Service users are supported by staff to access local community activities

Within the service people participate in art, literacy, health and nutrition, cooking, housekeeping, computers and multi sensory activities in the therapy room.

The Killure Training Service provides support to service users to develop their skills in independence, and to learn new skills that will enhance their lives and the opportunities available to them.


 

The service users are supported to access activities of their choice in the local community. They are encouraged to participate fully in all aspects of their day. This includes preparation of meals, shopping, cleaning, route planning, sourcing new activities and organising to meet friends/colleagues. Service users are also encouraged to seek work experience and paid employment.

Staff support people to develop skills required for employment such as numeracy and literacy skills, computers, and to create cv’s and network with potential employers.
